How to Search Warren County Family Court Records
The NJ Courts Find a Case tool lets you search for civil cases online for free. Enter a party name or docket number to find case information. The tool covers all 21 counties. Basic case details show up at no charge. For full documents or certified copies of family court records, you need to contact the Warren County Family Division directly.
Warren County divorce cases filed up to and including 2016 are archived at the Records Imaging Center (RIC) in Trenton. Cases from 2017 onward are at the Family Division in Belvidere. The county code for Warren is 21. To get archived records, complete the Records Request Form (CN 10200) and send it to the Superior Court Clerk's Office at P.O. Box 971, Trenton, NJ 08625-0971. Allow extra time for old files.

Warren County Divorce Records
Divorce is the most common case type in the Warren County family court. A complaint for divorce starts the case. Under N.J.S.A. 2A:34-2, New Jersey allows both fault and no-fault grounds. Most filers use irreconcilable differences. One spouse must have been a New Jersey resident for at least 12 months before filing on no-fault grounds.
The divorce file in Warren County includes the complaint, answer, case information statement, property settlement agreement, and the final judgment. Custody and parenting time orders are part of the record. Child support worksheets and orders go in the file too. The final judgment of divorce dissolves the marriage. Certified copies of the final judgment cost $25. Additional copies at the same time are $2 each. Plain copies are $0.05 per page. Divorce judgments are permanent records.

Divorce documents have their own access rule. They are released only to a party, their attorney, or someone with a court order. For all other public records, anyone can file a request. Warren County Family Court Filing Fees
Warren County uses the statewide fee schedule for all family court filings. A new divorce complaint costs $300 to file. The pro se surcharge is $25 for those without an attorney. Motion fees are $15 for regular motions and $30 for post-judgment motions. Appeal costs are $200.
Copy and certification fees for family court records include certified divorce judgments at $25 for the first copy and $2 for each extra copy ordered at the same time. The Seal of the Court costs $10. An exemplified copy is $50 plus plain copy charges. A certificate of divorce from the Department of Health costs $25. Pay by check or money order to "Treasurer-State of New Jersey." Cash works only in person at the Warren County courthouse. The court has a Fee Waiver Application for those who cannot afford the fees.
